FAQ MYPAY.LU

2FA

As the security of your data and your access is our priority, the two-factor authentication (2FA) on www.mypay.lu will become mandatory from the 1st of November 2021

  • What is the two-factors authentication (2FA)

The two-factor authentication (2FA) is a strong customer authentication (SCA) method requiring a two-steps verification to be allowed to connect to your account.

To be able to authenticate, you will need to enter 2 datas that you already know (username/password) and a data you do not know (code that you will find on your OTP application).

  • Why the 2FA will become mandatory on MyPay?

We take very seriously the security and integrity of your data and of your MyPay account.

The 2FA allow us to make sure that your account didn’t get any breach from someone who would have used your username or password for example.

  • Do I have to use the two-factor (2FA) authentication to access my MyPay account?

Yes, the 2FA authentication is mandatory for all of our MyPay users as from the 1st of November 2021.

  • How can I activate the two-factor authentication (2FA)?

You have to do your first connection on the website www.mypay.lu from your computer.

Take then the mobile phone you will be using when generating the OTP code and follow the instruction on the website (you can also use the document attached to the email you received from us). After having scanned the QR code to associate the token to your account, please enter the first verification code (6 numbers – please note that this code will change every minute) in the appropriated field. After having entered the code, click on the button “Activate” and confirm the activation on the new window that will open.

  • When should I use the two-factor authentication (2FA)?

As from the 1st of November 2021, you will have to follow a two-steps verification each time you will need to connect to the website www.mypay.lu.

Regarding the mobile app, you will only need to follow the 2FA process for the first connection as the biometric security of your phone (Face ID or fingerprint) is considered as a second authentication factor (equivalent to an OTP code).

  • What element do I need to proceed with a two-factor authentication (2FA)?

To authenticate, you will simply need to enter the verification code generated by the OTP application (6 numbers). This OTP app is the one you have been downloading on your mobile tool.

  • How works the two-factor authentication (2FA) on MyPay?

You have to enter your username and password, and click on the “Sign in” button.

A new field called « One Time Password » will come up. Enter the code that you will find on the OTP application and click again on the button “Sign in”.

  • I do not use the same mobile tool anymore and therefore do not have access to the OTP application anymore, what should I do?

As for every secured application, your user ID will be rebooted. We invite you to contact us at the address helpdesk@ifpayroll.luWe will separate your token from your MyPay account. At your next connection, you will need to follow the initial set up process.
