Newsletter: Quarantine or isolation measure related to COVID-19 - Full reimbursement from the Employers’Mutual Insurance Scheme

Dear Client,

As a support measure for employers and the self-employed in the current context of the health crisis, the rate of reimbursement by the Employers’Mutual Insurance Scheme is full (increasing from 80% to 100%) for periods of incapacity of work corresponding to quarantine or isolation measure. This measure is applied retroactively from July 1, 2020.

The absence must be declared as a usual incapacity of work in the monthly declaration of incapacity of work to the Centre Commun de la Sécurité Sociale (CCSS) by the employer or its representative. The CCSS will thereafter confirm (on the basis of the medical certificate provided) whether the declared incapacity of work is considered for full reimbursement (i.e. whether it is an isolation or quarantine kind).

Concerning absences already declared, no action must be taken. Indeed, the CCSS will automatically proceed to the adjustment retroactively from July 1, 2020.
